Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were received for three salt/sand
spreaders for the Street Department:

New Method Equipment $25 , 932 . 00
Trans-Iowa Equipment, Inc. 28, 933 . 00
Don' s Truck Sales 37 , 579.00
Swaney Equipment 42,524.00
Hawkeye Truck Equipment 5, 469. 00 per unit
It was the recommendation of Street Superintendent that the
second low bid of Trans-Iowa Equipment, Inc. be accepted.
The low bid of New Method Equipment did not include
hydraulic controls and had a 90 day delivery date which
would be well into the winter. The bid of Hawkeye Truck
Equipment contained only one of the three covered types
requested. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that
the recommendation of the Street Superintendent to accept
the second low bid of Trans-Iowa Equipment, Inc. be
approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills
payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp.
1-63 , in the amount of $1, 482,942. 51 dated October 22, 1990.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 6: 40 p.m.
