Members present: Chairperson Angel and Buck.
Members absent: Wright.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as
amended, to discuss the purchase of an air-conditioner unit
for the Waterloo Recreation and Arts Center be approved.
Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for an animal control van:
Bill Colwell Ford Base $12, 250 . 00
Trade In 900 . 00
Total $11,350. 00
Crossroads Ford Base $13 , 014. 00
Trade In 800 . 00
Total $12, 214 . 00
Community Motor Base $13 , 690 . 00
Trade In 700 . 00
Total $12, 990 . 00
It was the recommendation of the Superintendent of the
Central Garage that the low base bid of $12, 250 . 00 from Bill
Colwell Ford be approved, with no trade in. It was moved
by Buck, seconded by Angel that said recommendation be
approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Buck that the bids for
parking notices be referred to the full City Council for
approval. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for a 1991 Type III
ambulance:
FOSTER COACH SALES Net Bid Price $58 , 531. 50 Medtic
Ambulance Alternate II - No bid. This was an
incomplete bid because of no bid on Alternate II .
EMERGENCY VEHICLE SALES Net Bid Price $58,784 . 50 Life
Line Alternate II - $8,130 . 00. Total including
Alternate II $66, 914 . 50 . Time for delivery within 120
days.
O'DELLS SUPERIOR SALES Net Bid Price, including
Alternate II $67 , 653 . 00 . Time for delivery 90 to 120
days.
It was the recommendation of the Fire Department that the
bid of Emergency Vehicle Sales in the amount of $66 ,914 . 50
be approved. The Company has offered a three-year lease
purchase agreement with the first payment due one year after
delivery. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that said
recommendation be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for the F.Y. 1991 R.A.P.
Project Curb and Gutter Repair Program:
