Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that the agenda,
as proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for two Federal Aerodynamic
Emergency light bars, Model 24 MEAH:
Streicher' s
Each: $594. 00 two ( 2) $1,188.00
Trade-In $ 38. 00 two ( 2) $ 76.00
Total Cost $1,112.00
Sioux Sales Company
Each: $697 . 65 two ( 2) $1,395.30
Trade-In $ 37 . 00 two ( 2) $ 74.00
Total Cost $1,321. 30
Law Enforcement Equipment Company

Fesler' s Inc. - No Bid Submitted
It was the recommendation of the Police Department that the
low bid of Streicher ' s in the amount of $1,112. 00 be
approved. Councilperson Wright asked that officers be
alerted that when using flashing lights that the sirens also
be used when crossing intersections. It was moved by
Wright, seconded by Buck that said recommendation for light
bars be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization
be given to the Public Works Director to enter into an
agreement with Manpower Temporary Services for sludge truck
drivers for 1990 . Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that a garbage and
sewer refund in the amount of $84 . 07 for 320 Oaklawn Avenue,
a garbage refund in the amount of $21 . 42 for 213 Elmwood
Street and a sewer refund in the amount of $54. 00 for 516
West 1st Street be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills
payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-50,
in the amount of $1,118 , 929. 49, dated April 9, 1990. Motion
carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned.
