FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES
March 26, 1990
6 : 30 p.m.
Large Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that the agenda,
as proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for the purchase of various
trees by the Waterloo Park Commission:
Platt' s Inc. 51 trees $7 , 021 . 00
Meyers Nursery 13 trees $1 , 635 . 00
Jordans Nursery 10 trees $1 , 350 . 00
It was recommended that these bids be approved. It was
moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization be
given to purchase said trees as recommended. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization
be given to the Waterloo Recreation and Arts Commission to
purchase a Packard-Bell PB-800 computer for the sports
office. Motion carried.
The request of the Building Official to purchase an upgraded
computer system was reviewed. The Building Official is
currently using his own computer equipment and in order to
hook into the Novelle System several attachments are
required. If in the future the private equipment was
removed, the fittings would be compatible to the existing
system. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that
authorization be given to purchase said upgraded computer
equipment. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills
payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918 , pp. 1-72 ,
in the amount of $1 , 073 , 569 . 84 , and Schedule W900 , pg. 1 , in
the amount of $20. 00 dated March 26, 1990, be approved.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned.
