Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the Agenda, as proposed,
be approved. Motion carried.
A garbage refund in the amount of $13 . 60 for 310 Williston Avenue
was discussed. It was explained that the City' s policy is to
refund a maximum of one year' s garbage charges if a house is
vacant. Since the house at 310 Williston was vacant from April
6 through August 23, 1988, a lesser refund was being recommended
for approval. Moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that a garbage
refund in the amount of $13 . 60 for 310 Williston Avenue be
approved. Motion carried.
The report of the Building and Grounds Committee concerning
authorization to seek informal bids for brick facing on the
boiler stack at City Hall was reviewed. The Committee had
reviewed the request and recommended approval subject to
obtaining several informal bids for the work. Moved by Wright,
seconded by Buck that authorization be given to seek informal
bids to repair the brick facing on the boiler stack on City Hall.
Motion carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-48, totaling
$400,928. 57 and Schedule W900, pp. 1-7 , totaling $204, 899. 26,
dated September 19, 1988. Ayes: Angel, Wright. Abstain: Buck.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
