Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as proposed,
be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for the F.Y. 1989 300 Block West
Donald Street Reconstruction:

Kenneth & Warren Contracting, Inc. $25, 948. 40

Councilperson Buck inquired as to the minority participation
goals in small projects such as this. It was indicated that most
generally these small projects are not large enough to
subcontract to minorities, but that minorities are informed of
the project. It was noted that a minority contractor did bid on
this project and presented a competitive bid. It was the
recommendation of the City Engineer to accept the low bid of Tom
Dolan Concrete Contractor as indicated above. Moved by Buck,
seconded by Angel that said recommendation be approved. Motion
carried.
The following bid was reviewed for the F.Y. 1989 Flood Control
Security Gate at West Donald Street:

It was the recommendation of the City Engineer to accept the
above bid. Moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that said
recommendation be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for office supplies:

It was the recommendation of the Budget Analyst to accept the low
bid of Lincoln' s Office Supply Corp. Moved by Wright, seconded
by Angel that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Wright,
Angel. Abstain: Buck. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for a one-year contract
commencing August 15, 1988 for property and extended coverage
insurance:

It was the recommendation of the Clerk/Auditor to accept the bid
of Vaughan & Pedersen, Inc. as indicated above. Moved by Buck,
seconded by Wright that said recommendation be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the garbage refund for 225
- 227 Allen Street in the amount of $69. 60 be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-43 , totaling
$296,041.10 and Schedule W900, pp. 1-2, totaling $66,387. 00,
dated August 15, 1988. Ayes: Angel, Wright. Abstain: Buck.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
