Members present: Chairperson Angel, Buck.
Members absent: Wright.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as proposed, be
approved. Motion carried.
The following bid was reviewed for the F.Y. 1989 Flood Control
Security Fence at Nevada Street:
Bidder Total Bid
Iowa Fence Masters, Inc. $1, 978. 40
Moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the recommendation of the
City Engineer to accept the above bid be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the City Engineer be given
authorization to take bids on the following projects: Curb and
Gutter Repair for Recycled Asphalt Pavement Program; 300 Block
West Donald Street Paving Repair; Blowers Creek Cunnette Repair;
Park Avenue Bridge Floodwall Closure Repair. Motion carried.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that authorization be given for
the Clerk/Auditor to seek bids for office supplies. Motion
carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Buck that authorization be given for
garbage refund to Crossroads Assembly of God, 3205 Bethel Street,
in the amount of $52. 20. Motion carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Buck that the low bid of Dan Deery
Motor in the amount of $8,648 for a 1988 mid-size pickup for the
Parks Department be approved. Motion carried.
The bills were referred to the City Council for payment without
recommendation of the Finance Committee.
With no further business before the Committee, it was moved by
Angel, seconded by Buck that the meeting be adjourned. Motion
carried.
