July 5, 1988
6: 30 p.m.
Large Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as proposed, be
approved. Motion carried.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the request of the Police
Chief for authorization to seek bids for photographic supplies be
approved. Motion carried.
The request of the Public Works Director to purchase a mower that
could be mounted on an existing Case tractor at approximately
$1,260. 60 from Case Power Equipment and seek quotes on an
additional power weed mower was reviewed. Concern was expressed
that the mower was not competitively bid. John Meyer, Public
Works Director, explained that area dealers were telephoned for
quotes. During discussions with the dealers, this mower was
found to work best with the existing Case tractor that it will be
mounted on. Mr. Meyer also explained that the mower is available
immediately and therefore would assist the Operation Pride crew
to continue with its weed enforcement.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization be given to
purchase said mower and seek quotes on an additional power weed
mower. Motion carried.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the garbage refund for 211
Randolph Street in the amount of $69. 60 be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Buck that bills payment be approved
as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-10, totalling $411,040. 08,
dated July 5, 1988. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
