Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
Larry P. Burger, Clerk/Auditor, stated that an emergency repair
was necessary to the service line at the East Side Library. Gene
Bond Plumbing Company was called to make the repair, which is
estimated to be $800. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright
that expenditure for said repairs be approved. Motion carried.
John Meyer, Public Works Director, asked for authorization to
enter into a contract for the crushing of salvaged concrete in an
amount not to exceed $15,000. A quote of $2. 95 per ton as been
obtained from the contractor who is currently crushing the City' s
stockpile of asphalt. The crushed asphalt will be used for road
stone. Normal cost is approximately $4. 50 per ton. This work
would be funded out of the street maintenance budget and would
provide an approximate three year supply. It was moved by Buck,
seconded by Angel that authorization be given to enter a contract
for crushing of salvaged concrete. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-67 , totaling
$692,289. 17 and Schedule W900, pp. 1-2, totaling $1,305. 19, dated
March 28, 1988. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
