HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/11/1988 FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES January 11, 1988 6: 30 p.m. Large Conference Room Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Motion carried. The recommendation of approval of the Building and Grounds Committee on acceptance of a bid from Video Midwest to purchase a speaker system for the City Hall Council Chambers was reviewed. Bids were received as follows: Bidder Total Bid Custom Communications, Inc. $5,000.62 Communications Engineering Company $3 ,909. 00 plus Video Midwest cable $3 , 574 . 00 It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the bid of Video Midwest be approved in an amount not to exceed $4,616. 50, which includes the automatic audio feed and new equipment rack. Motion carried. The request of the Sign and Traffic Department for authorization to purchase three used traffic signal control cabinets in the amount of $2 ,600 was reviewed. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization be given to purchase said traffic signal control cabinets. Motion carried. The following price quotes were reviewed for the purchase of a computer printer for use by the Sign and Traffic Department in conjunction with the San Marnan Signal Project: Bidder Total Quote Computerland $355. 00 Advanced Business Computers $420. 00 The Computer Center $473 . 00 It was the recommendation of the Sign and Traffic Department to accept the low bid of Computerland. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization be given to purchase said computer printer from The Computer Center. Motion carried. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that bills payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-46, totalling $282,400. 34, dated January 11, 1988. Motion carried.
