HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/28/1981 4 FINANCE COMMITTEE December 28, 1981 City Hall Waterloo, Iowa The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on December 28, 1981. Council Member Dowie presiding officer. On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Bowers, Roehr The following bids were opened for the expansion of the City Garage: BIDDER AMOUNT 1) Roy Avis Construction $13,433.00 2) Jens Olesen & Sons Construction Co. 10,430.00 3) Ken Kampman Construction 10,618.26 4) Heene Construction Company 11,730.00 5) Nelson Construction 13,900.00 6) Don Gardner Construction Co. 11,200.00 7) Tom Dolan 9,500.00 It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to refer the above bids to the Garage Superintendent and Buildings and Grounds Committee of the City Council for review and recommendation. The motion carried. The written recommendation of the Electrical Department on controller bids received on December 14, 1981 was reviewed. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve the recommendation of the Electrical Department to accept the bid of General Traffic Controls, Inc. in the amount of $44,998.00. The motion carried. The recommendation of the Police Department on the purchase of typewriters was reviewed (bids opened 12/21/81). It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve the recommendation of the Police Department to purchase the electronic typewriter from Iowa Business Machines (Olympia Model E S 105) in the amount of $1,435.00. The motion carried. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the following bills: DEPT. P.O. VENDOR AMT. Electrical 8074 General Traffic Controls, Inc. $44,998.00 Street 8053 Altorfer Machinery Co. 3,500.00 Water Poll . Control 8073 Capital City Boilers & Machine 1,000.00 The motion carried.
