RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC. OF
REINBECK, IOWA, FOR THE F.Y. 2011 RIDGEWAY
AVENUE AND LA PORTE ROAD INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENTS, CONTRACT NO. 775, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $365,728.50.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck,
Iowa, in the amount of $365,728.50, for the F.Y. 2011 Ridgeway
Avenue and LaPorte Road Intersection Improvements, Contract No.
775, described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted
by this Council for said project in Resolution 2010-619, after
public hearing on July 19, 2010 on published notice required by
law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid
received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day Of August, 2010.
