The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in
City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on August 3, 1981.
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Bowers, Roehr
Don Thorson, Street Department Superintendent, explained the need for an asphalt heating
kettle which would be used in the filling of cracks in City streets. It was moved by
Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve this purchase from Stepp Mfg. Co. for a sum of
$3,860.44. The motion carried.
Ralph Anderson, City Engineer, requested approval to lease a Savin photo-copy machine for a
five year period. After discussion, it was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to instruct
the City Engineer to investigate and execute the most economic method of operating the
machine, either lease or lease-purchase. The motion carried.
It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the following bills:
