The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in
City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on July 27, 1981.
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Bowers, Roehr
Don Thorson, Superintendent of Streets, recommended that the bid of Diamond Crystal Salt
in the amount of $26.49 per ton be accepted for the 1981-82 winter season. It was moved
by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to approve this recommendation. The motion carried.
Sgt. Schaefer presented recommendations on the bids received on sound meters. It was
moved by Wilharm, seconded by Bowers to approve the purchase of the following:
MODEL AMT. SERVICE REP.
Quest 235-12 $ 930.00 Electro-Medic, Inc.
2226 1,346.50 Bruel & Kjaer Instruments
The motion carried.
Don Temeyer, Plan and Program Director, asked that Bruce Meisinger be allowed to attend a
two day seminar in Ames, Iowa on July 30, 1981 and August 4, 198 at a cost of $20.00
per day. The conference is entitled Budgeting & Productivity Analysis for City
Government.. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve this request. The
motion carried.
It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to approve payment of the following bills:
