The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in
City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on June 15, 1981.
Council Member Dowie presiding officer.
On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Bowers, Roehr
The following bids were opened for two (2) dump trucks for the Street Department:
BIDDER BID FOR EACH
A. Trucks of Iowa $21,499.00
B. Donovan International $21,845.00
C. Hanawalt Ford $20,424.89 & $25,256.99(different models)
D. George Morris Chevrolet
$20,453.92
It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Wilharm to refer the above bids to the Garage Supt. ,
Larry Cunningham, for review and recommendation. The motion carried.
Bruce Bottorff, Supt. of Water Pollution Control Plant, recommended that the bid of
Morton-Norwich Products, Inc. in the amount of $27.41
per
approved with trucking to be arranged. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded oby Roehr to
approve this recommendation. The motion carried.
It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers to approve payment of the following bills:

The motion carried.
Councilman Tom Penaluna asked that two (2) councilmen be authorized to attend an Urban
Potential Seminar scheduled for June 22 and 23, 1981 at the Waterloo Recreation Center at
an approximate cost of $150.00 each. It was moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr to
approve the above request. The motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
