HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/08/1980 FINANCE COMMITTEE December 8, 1980 City Hall , Waterloo, Iowa The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on December 8, 1980. Council Member Dowie, presiding. On Roll Call : Dowie, Roehr, Wilharm Absent: Bowers Bids were opened for a 1981 ambulance for the Waterloo Fire Department. They were as follows: BIDDER AMOUNT Elliott Equipment Co. $24,387.42 Smeal Fire Equipment Co. 25,277.00 Emergency Vehicle Sales & Service 22,980.00 The only company not returning a bid that was sent specifications was School Bus Sales. It was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to refer the bids to the Fire Department for review and report back. The motion carried. Larry Burger, City Clerk, presented the request of Ted Sauler, on behalf of Charles Bauler of 243 Polk Street, to refund an amount of $36.00 for garbage. No one has lived at this address for quite some time. The Waterloo Water Works has verified that this amount is correct. The was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve the refund. The motion carried. It was moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm to approve the following bills: DEPT. PURCHASE ORDER AMOUNT Metropolitan Transit -- $5,076.00 Building 4180 841 .50 Fire 11284A 683.38 Police 4152 765.00 Police 4153 1 ,170.40 Sign and Traffic 4602 400.00 Health & Sanitation 4185 1 ,860.00 Police 4105 505.92 The motion carried. With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M. Larry P. Burger City Clerk
