The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor Conference Room
in City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on July 14, 1980.
Council Member Dowie, Chairman presiding.
On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilham, Roehr, Bowers
The copier bids which were presented to the Finance Committee on Monday, July 7, 1980
for use by the City Clerk, Finance, Personnel , Mayor, etc. , were reviewed. Michelle
Temeyer, Deputy City Clerk stated that the Royfax bid in the amount of $152.87 per
month (lease) had been reviewed and was in order. It was moved by Roehr, seconded
by Bowers that the Royfax bid in the amount of $152.87 be accepted. The Motion
Carried.
The City Engineer's office have requested the purchase of a mobile radio for their
recently purchased 4-wheel drive pick-up. One was received in the amount of $1,364.00
from Motorola. This is $139.00 over the budget appropriation, but the truck already
purchased was $840.00 under the budget appropriation. It was moved by Roehr, seconded
by Bowers that the Motorola bid in the amount of $1,364.00 be approved. The Motion
Carried.
It was reported that some problems with the police console have been experienced.
Acting Police Chief Grimm stated that prices are being taken for a new one.
Mr. Bowers stated that telephone work will begin soon in City Hall .
Chairman Dowie called for additional business, there was none, and it was moved
