Mayor's Conference Room

The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa met in the Mayor's Conference
Room in City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on June 16, 1980.
Council Member Dowie, Chairman presiding.
On Roll Call : Dowie, Wilharm, Roehr, Bowers
Project Engineer, Don Thorson, presented three bids for a new bulldozer to replace
the existing loader currently being used at the City landfill . Bids were received
from the following companies :

(Caterpillar)

3) Swaney Equipment Co.

All three bids meet the specifications as required. Monies for the equipment will
be allocated from the F.Y. 1981 Operating Budget. It was moved by Bowers, seconded
by Roehr to accept the low bid of Case in' the amount of $37 ,396.50., The motion
carried. As down payment, the company will accept the old machine with full
payment in the amount of $37,396.50 to be made on July 1 , 1981 . Hal Doolen spoke
on behalf of the Case bid and the lease arrangement for the equipment.
Chairman Dowie called for additional business , there was none, and it was moved
to close the meeting at 6:40.
