The request of the Police Department to buy a copier for their usage was discussed.
The Committee felt that leasing a machine would be more beneficial in the long
run, as the City would not be responsible for continual maintenance. Also, if
a machine ;s bought over a period of years, it becomes obsolete too quickly.
Therefore, it was moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr to allow the Police
Department to lease a copier machine.
Acting Chairman Wilharm called for additional business , there was none, and it
was moved to close the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
