The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in the Mayor ' s
Conference Room in the City Hall at 6 :20 P.M. on March 24, 1980 .
Council Member Roehr, Acting Chairman, presiding.
On Roll Call : Bowers , Roehr and Wilharm. Absent : Dowie .
Robert Wendt of Burroughs Corp . Business Forms was present to further
discuss the Burroughs Forms Management survey and contract . Mr. Wendt
stated that he would like to establish an agreement with the City that
if Burroughs could show they could save the City 10% on their forms , the
City would enter into a contract with them for forms .
Councilman Roehr suggested that the subject of survey and contract with
Burroughs Corp . be tabled until April 7 , 1980 to allow the City Clerk,
Finance Director and Planning Dept . time to gather facts on the amount
of forms used by the City.
Council Member Roehr stated the Maintenance Contract with Rosenkrans
Electric for radio repairs for the City is up for renewal soon. It was
suggested that bids be received for the award of the service contract on
the radios this year. Discussion followed.
Council Member Roehr asked what information was gathered on the purchase
of equipment for the print shop . It was stated that a one year warrenty
will come with the machine. It was brought up if a service contract could
be contracted on the equipment.
It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to approve the purchase of
the additional equipment for the print shop , to be paid .for. after July 1 , 1980.
Acting Chairman Roehr called for additional business , there was none,
and it was moved to close the meeting at 7 : 00 P .M.
