The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in the Mayor ' s
Conference Room in the City Hall at 6 : 30 P.M. on March 17 , 1980 .
Council Member Roehr, Acting Chairman, presiding.
On Roll Call : Bowers , Roehr and Wilharm. Absent : Dowie.
Robert Wendt of Burroughs Corp . Business Forms presented a presentation of
Burroughs ' forms management service.
A slide presentation followed showing some various advantages in contracting
with Burroughs for the Forms Management Service .
Robert Wendt suggested that the Council sign a contract of agreement with
Burroughs if the Forms Management survey would show a 107 savings to the
City.
Councilman Roehr suggested that the City would have to take an inventory
of the various offices to determine the amount of forms used.
Councilman Roehr suggested that Mr. Wendt attend the Finance Meeting of
March 24, 1980 at 6 : 15 P.M. to enable the Finance Committee to gather
facts on the amount of forms used in the City.
It was brought to the attention of the finance committee the purchase of
additional equipment for the Print Shop, and if there is a warrenty with
the equipment and when delivery should be made.
It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to table the purchase of
additional equipment for the Print Shop . Motion carried.
Virgil Graybill of the Parking Ramp stated that a water line inside the
wall at the East Ramp needed repair which would cost approximately $850 . 00 .
Acting Chairman Roehr called for additional business , there was none , and
it was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to close the meeting at 6 : 55P.M.
