The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo , Iowa, met in the Mayor' s Con-
ference Room in the City Hall at 6 : 30 P .M. on February 25 , 1980 .
Council Member Dowie , Chairman, presiding.
On Roll Call : Present : Bowers , Dowie , Roehr, and Wilharm.
Larry Burger presented a letter from the Waterloo Water Works stating that
Mr. Herbert Miehe, 1033 Fletcher, has over paid $91 . 00 in garbage charges
since September 1976 . The Water Works stated that Mr. Miehe was on their
books as having an apartment in their home , but Mr. Miehe said he has never
had an apartment in his home .
It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Wilharm to refund Mr. Miehr $91 . 00 for the
garbage over payment . Motion carried.
Roger Mogle , Personnel Director, reported on the medical bill of Brian
Stewart , an employee of the Street Department . He was not signed up for
Workmen' s Compensation at the time he was employed and occured medical bills
totalling $522 . 10 which should have been covered by Workmen' s Compensation.
It was moved by Bowers , seconded by Roehr to pay the bill of $522 . 10 for Brian
Stewart . Motion carried.
Chairman Dowie called for additional business , there was none , and it was
moved to close the meeting at 6 : 49 P .M.
