The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in a revenue sharing input hear-
ing in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 6 : 30 P .M. on January, 14, 1980 .
Mayor Rooff in the Chair.
Present : Councilmen Bowers , Burton, Dowie , Getty, Penaluna, Roehr, and Wilharm.
Mayor Rooff announced this was a public hearing required by law for input
for the use of approximately $1 , 030 , 000 of federal general revenue sharing
funds to be received by the City of Waterloo , Iowa for F.Y. 1980-81 .
Mayor Rooff stated the Budget which was composed by Plan and Program gave a
general run down as to how the funds have been allocated:

Moved by Roehr, seconded by Dowie that the proof of publication of notice of
public hearing for input for use of approximately $1 , 030 , 000 of federal general
revenue sharing funds to be received by the City of Waterloo, Iowa , as published
in Waterloo Courier on December 28 , 1979 , be received and placed on file .
Motion carried.
The Mayor announced this was the time and place for the hearing , and called
for proposals for the use of said revenue sharing funds . The Clerk reported
there were no written requests . Mayor Rooff called several times for input and
then instructed the Clerk to let the records show there was no input from the
public . (Only three members of the private sector were in attendance .
There being no further business , it was moved by Roehr , seconded by Penaluna
that the Revenue Sharing Input Meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
