The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in the Mayor' s Con-
ference Room in City Hall at 6 : 30 P .M. on November 13, 1979.
Council Member Dowie , Acting Chairman, presiding.
Peni B . Tvrdik, Atty. spoke for Kaus Long, Atty. representing Robert Retterath.
She asked if a decision has been made on Mr . Retterath' s counter offer of $6500 .
The Council reported standing firm with their offer of paving the drive and the
rest, Mr. Retterath would have to go to court to get. Discussion followed and
City Attorney Hultman requested a Closed Executive Session to discuss this
litigation for a lawsuit had been filed on this today. Roehr suggested we
finish the Finance Committee Meeting first.
Finance Dir. / Treas . Campbell stated that due to computer closing out payroll
for the calendar year and Christmas, the City may have to go with a 3rd Council
Meeting pay period, and one Bills Resolution this time , instead of 2nd and 4th.
This is not definite yet, and department heads will be informed if this happens .
Acting Chairman Dowie called for additional business , there was none , and it
was moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr to close this meeting at 6 : 40 P .M. so
the Council may meet in Closed Executive Session .
