Huntley requested having updated information on locations of storm sewers in the city and to have it readily available to him at all times . He reported 5 or 6 years ago having updated plat books , but now spends much of his time in the engineers office looking up this information for people with problem sewers . Mayor questioned why he was not infoiiiied of this problem sooner? Discussion followed, Plan and Program Dir. Franke suggested Sewer Supt. Huntley and City Engineer Anderson get together on this , for the engineers have adequate draftsmen, maybe the information could be put on blue prints . W.P . C. P . Supt . Bottorff informed the Committee of two 18" impellers that need repair or replacing caused by large amounts of water in August with alot of sand and abrasives . He had no estimates yet . Attorney Kaus Long representing Robert Retterath discussed the settlement between the City and his client and mentioned a counter proposal . He said both sides are just a few hundred off from getting this finalized and he and his client are anxious to get this settled out of court, if possible . The Committee discussed the settlement offered to Mr. Retterath some time ago which was for $6500 which included $2000_ for_ replacement of driveway, which would leave a cash settlement of $4500. Mayor reported the engineer working with contractor now to have the driveway replaced, since the city did tear it out, so he recommended to the Council to go ahead with replacement of driveway and the rest, if Mr . Retterath wants to go to court, let him. The Council discussed the matter and decided to let the settlement stand as is . Acting Chairman Dowie called for additional business , there was none, and closed the meeting at 6: 45 P .M. Katherine Gibbs , City Clerk by Jolene DeLorbe , Deputy Clerk
