The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in the Mayor ' s Con-
ference Room in City Hall at 1: 00 P.M. , on June 25 , 1979 .
Council Member Getty, Chairman, presiding .
On roll call: Dowie, Getty, Roehr. Absent: Wilharm. Guest at the meeting was
Alfred J. Lompe, owner of Rosenkrans Electronic Company.
Chairman Getty called the meeting to order.
Discussed were two proposals for communications radio repair services for the
City. As city employee Frank Avery will retire in July, 1979, it was decided
to try an outside contractor for one year to determine if it would be cheaper
than a full-time city employee .
The two proposals were from Rosenkrans Electronic Company and Bob ' s 2-Way Radio
Service . This meeting was to clarify the various rates in the proposals together
with the service and equipment involved.
After lengthy discussion, it was moved by Dowie seconded by Getty that the
Finance Committee recommend Rosenkrans Electronic for Council approval , with
various adjustments . Motion carried.
Total monthly payment $596. 00
All other equipment is on a Time and Material Basis
Hourly charge 22 . 50
This service includes all parts of equipment under
contract including all parts that are now property
of the City.

Date maintenance ends . . . 6-30-80
Chairman Getty closed the meeting at 1 : 55 P .M.
