Mayor's Conference Room Waterloo, Iowa The Finance Committee of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in the Mayor's Confer- ence Room in City Hall at 6:37 P.M. on February 19, 1979. Councilman Getty, Chairman, presiding. On roll call: Present Wilharm, Dowie, Getty and Roehr. Chairman Getty called the meeting to order. Mayor Rooff reminded the Council that on February 26th, 1979 (Monday) , at 5:00 P.M. the Council would meet to review the budget with the Mayor's Budget Committee. Chairman Getty called for any other business. Garage Supt. Cunningham stated he needed parts, equipment, couple of transmissions at $350 each and recommended buying rebuilt with unconditional guarantee for 90 days. He also needed parts for other machines such as salt spreader, etc. for a total of $1,000. He mentioned Northland would let him have anti-freeze at 35G per gallon in five gallon lots. Chairman Getty recommended he get the parts, anti-freeze and needed repairs, and the Finance Committee concurred. Mayor Rooff stated the aniti-freeze would come out of next year's budget. Mayor Rooff pointed out that in digging out on dike, City was told not to put back in but through negotiations the price was reduced from $250 per ton to $110 per ton.
