Mayor's Conference Room Waterloo, Iowa The Finance Committee of the Cityof Waterloo, 'Iowa, met in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall at 6:45 P.M. on February 5, 1979. Councilman Getty, Chairman, presiding. On roll call: Present: Wilharm, Dowie and Getty. Absent: Roehr. Chairman Getty called the meeting to order. Chairman Getty asked if they had received a copy of a letter on the machine (t.v.) on the gLound floor going upstairs and if it was alright with the rest of the Committee. Councilman Wilharm stated they would have to. Chairman Getty called for any other business to be presented to the Finance Committee. Councilman Wilharm reported Sewer Supt. Paul Huntley was given permission to purchase emergency steam hoses. Councilman Dowie asked Police Lt. Shook what the bars were about and was told the Police Department bought five originally, then asked for ten more because the Dept. could save $1400 on this. Mayor Rooff recommended buying the ten additional bars and the Police Chief said when the Department gets new cars, then it must get new bars. Chairman Getty stated the Committee thought it had approved the ten additional bars. Chairman Getty called the meeting closed. Katherine Gibbs, City Clerk
