Walt Cochran, Business Retention Manager for the Waterloo Chamber of
Commerce, updated the Council on his contacts with businesses within

construction along Bluff Street between Hawthorne Avenue and Hackett
Road. Forty-five (45) of the one hundred and three (103) businesses

held by the Iowa Department of Transportation on October 3, 1985,
with grading and construction of bridges perhaps in one (1) year.
The Mayor asked that Mr. Cochran, together with Councilperson Lichty,
attempt to meet with Searles Hayden, 1120 Bluff Street, to discuss
his relocation situation. Mr. Cochran indicated that on several
occasions he has attempted to contact Mr. Hayden.
