HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-684-08/02/2010RESOLUTION NO. 2010-684 RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 720 PARK AVENUE, 312 CHARLES STREET, 116 PARKER STREET, AND 261 COTTAGE GROVE TO JONATHAN BOSWELL OF BOSWELL PROPERTIES FOR A TOTAL OF $14,000.00, AS AUGUST 16, 2010, AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of August, 2010, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and convey city -owned property generally located at 720 Park Avenue, 312 Charles Street, 116 Parker Street, and 261 Cottage Grove, to Jonathan Boswell of Boswell Properties, for a total of $14,000.00, and legally described as follows: Park Avenue The Southwesterly 50 feet of Lot No. 52 in Auditor Rainbow's West side Plat, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; for $3,500.00, plus costs. 312 Charles Street Lot 3 in Block 5 in Mansons Third Addition, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; for $3,500.00, plus costs. 116 Parker Street The East 50 feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 7, Litchfield Addition, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; for $3,500.00, plus costs. 261 Cottaae Grove Linden Place West 15 feet of Lot 12, Block 13, East 30 Feet of Lot 13, Block 13, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; for $3,500.00, plus costs. Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
