The Chairman declared that the purpose of the meeting was to review the applications received for the position of Police Chief. Fifty-seven ( 57) applications have been received. Each was individually scrutinized by the Commission in accordance with ►' the minimum requirements set forth at the meeting of April 29 , 1982 . The following action was taken after consideration of each resume : It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Arthur Ackerson not be considered for the position because he lacks the required educational and police administrative experience . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Barnett not be considered for the position because he lacks the required police administrative experience . Motion carried . It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Terrance Carty not be considered for the position because he lacks the required police administrative experience. Motion carried. It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Barron Castellano not be considered for the position because he lacks experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Chamberlain not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Keith Chandler not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that James Crawford not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Dales not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried . It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Terry Fairbanks not be considered for the position because he lacks the police and administrative experience and experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried. It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Robert Ferber not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Fitzgerald not be considered for the position because he lacks the required education . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Kelly Gaskill not be considered for the position because he lacks the required education . Motion carried . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Richard Haack not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size and experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Dale Harris not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey, seconded by Braun that Ronald Hauri not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Hersey not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Jeffrey Hesser not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Steven Hirsch not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey, seconded by Braun that Charles Johnson not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Harold Johnson not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Charles Keegan not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that William Kohnke not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun , that Ronald Lupo not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size and required education . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Don Maxon not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Douglas Maxson not be considered for the position because he lacks the required education and experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Myhr not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Robert Panzarella not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience at the rank of Lieutenant or above . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Richard Scholz not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey, seconded by Braun that William Shanley not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that James Skidmore not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Lester Stiles not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in a city of comparable size. Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Daniel Cawley be invited to an oral interview because he meets all of the minimum requirements . Motion carried. CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION PAGE FOUR Discussion was heard regarding "a candidate possessing evidence of applicable continuing education within the last three ( 3 ) years " . It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that this item not be considered a requirement but rather an enhancement during the interviewing process . Motion carried. It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that Wally DeRose not be considered for the position because he lacks the required experience in the rank of Lieutenant or above. Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Roland Graham be invited to an oral interview because he meets all of the minimum requirements . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that George Hansen not be considered for the position because he lacks evidence of the required experience in the rank of Lieutenant or above . Motion carried. It was moved by Eibey , seconded by Braun that Kenneth Huck be invited to an oral interview because he meets all of the minimum requirements . Motion carried . It was moved by Eibey, seconded by Braun that Warner Huston be invited to an oral interview because he meets all of the minimum requirements . Motion carried. It was moved by Braun , seconded by Eibey that all applications for the position received after June 25 , 1982 be rejected . Motion carried . Those fifteen ( 15) applicants that are to be interviewed (as indicated in the preceding paragraphs ) will be contacted for setting up an oral interview on Wednesday , July 7 , 1982 .
