RESOLUTION NO. 2022-034
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LODGE
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,281,571.05, AND APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH FY 2021 CEDAR
RIVER MARINA AND RECREATIONAL ENHANCEMENTS,
DOT PROJECT NO. TAP-U-8155(768)--8I-07, CONTRACT NO.
1011, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a bid in an amount
not to exceed $1,281,571.05, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Cedar River Marina and
Recreational Enhancements, DOT Project No. TAP-U-8155(768)--8I-07, Contract No. 1011, and
is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Cedar River Marina and Recreational
Enhancements, DOT Project No. TAP-U-8155(768)--8I-07, Contract No. 1011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lodge Construction, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $1,281,571.05, in
conjunction with the FY 2021 Cedar River Marina and Recreational Enhancements, DOT
Project No. TAP-U-8155(768)--8I-07, Contract No. 1011, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge Construction,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2021 Cedar River Marina and Recreational Enhancements,
DOT Project No. TAP-U-8155(768)--8I-07, Contract No. 1011, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January 2022.
