RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR AN IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TRAFFIC SAFETY
IMPROVEMENT GRANT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION OF
MULLEN AVENUE (US 63) AND SYCAMORE STREET
INTERSECTION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $251,000.00,
COMMITTING TO MAINTAINING THE IMPROVEMENTS
FOR THE LIFE OF THE PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Iowa Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Grant Application dated August 1,
2022, between the Iowa Department of Transportation and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
amount of $251,000.00, for traffic signalization of Mullen Avenue (US 63) and Sycamore Street
intersection, committing to maintaining the improvements for the life of the project, is hereby
approved, and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August 2022.
