RESOLUTION NO. 2022-495
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $121,562.90, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023 MARTIN LUTHER KING
JR. DRIVE/NORTHEAST INDUSTRIAL PARK WETLAND
MITIGATION, CONTRACT NO. 1005, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $121,562.90, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Northeast
Industrial Park Wetland Mitigation, Contract No. 1005, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Northeast Industrial
Park Wetland Mitigation, Contract No. 1005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $121,562.90, in conjunction
with the FY 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Northeast Industrial Park Wetland
Mitigation, Contract No. 1005, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson Contractors,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Northeast Industrial
Park Wetland Mitigation, Contract No. 1005, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August 2022.
