RESOLUTION NO. 2022-496
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO K & W
ELECTRIC, INC., OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT
OF $749,772.30, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2022 4TH STREET BRIDGE AND DAM
LIGHTING PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1054, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$749,772.30, in conjunction with the FY 2022 4th Street Bridge and Dam Lighting Project,
Contract No. 1054, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2022 4th Street Bridge and Dam Lighting Project, Contract
No. 1054.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of K & W Electric, Inc., in the amount of $749,772.30, in conjunction with
the FY 2022 4th Street Bridge and Dam Lighting Project, Contract No. 1054, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by K & W Electric, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2022 4th Street Bridge and Dam Lighting Project, Contract No.
1054, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August 2022.
