RESOLUTION NO. 2022-507
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $323,402.95, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2022 SERGEANT ROAD
TRAIL BRIDGES NO. 2 AND NO. 3 REPLACEMENT,
CONTRACT NO. 1070, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $323,402.95, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Sergeant Road Trail Bridges No. 2 and No. 3
Replacement, Contract No. 1070, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Sergeant Road Trail Bridges No. 2 and No. 3
Replacement, Contract No. 1070.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $323,402.95, in conjunction
with the FY 2022 Sergeant Road Trail Bridges No. 2 and No. 3 Replacement, Contract
No. 1070, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson Contractors,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2022 Sergeant Road Trail Bridges No. 2 and No. 3
Replacement, Contract No. 1070, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August 2022.
