The Agenda for November 30, 1989 was approved as mailed.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Civil Service List for Police Chief was presented for
certification. Moved by Glenz, seconded by Culp:
We, the members of the Civil Service Commission, certify the
following list of applicants, who are eligible based upon the
examination process as set forth by the Civil Service Commission
for the appointment to the position of Police Chief - Police
Department for the City of Waterloo, Iowa. Appointments to the
position of Police Chief shall be made from this list.

OTHER BUSINESS
Glenz requested the following item be placed on the agenda for
the next Civil Service Commission meeting. What is rationale of
not appointing from a promotional list by rank order on the list?
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
