The following bids were reviewed for two new garbage trucks and packers. TRUCK CHASSISS (2) Donovan International $81 ,000.00 Trade In 12,300.00 $68,700.00 Only bid received. Rydell Chevrolet No Bid Crossroads Ford No Bid Cedar Valley Truck No Bid PACKER UNITS (2) Mid Iowa Solid Waste - Load Master Trade In $ 7,500.00 Options (Clean-out door) ea. 270.00 Packers (5-year Warranty) 43,100.00 Packers (1-year Warranty) 38,100.00 Elliott Equipment Co. - Leach Trade In $13,920.00 Options (Steps & Mud Flaps) ea. 125.00 Packers 42,000.00 Sage Truck Equipment - Pak-Mor Trade In $12,500.00 Options - N/C Standard Packers 42,508.00 Kann Equipment Sales - Wayne Trade In $14,500.00 Options Standard Packers 37,600.00 The recommendation of the Garage Superintendent was to accept the bid of Donovan International in the amount of $81 ,000.00, and Kann Equipment Sales in the amount of $37,600.00 (with trade-in), for a total cost of $104,100.00. It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that said recommendation be approved. Motion carried. It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that authorization be given to the City Engineer to request bids for the F.Y. 1988 Linseed Oiling Program. Motion carried. The request of the Planning and Development Director to paint office equipment in the Planning and Development Division and Park Department was reviewed. A quote has been received from RTW Electrostatic Painting Company in the amount of $2,480.50. It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that authorization be given to proceed with the painting of said office equipment. Motion carried . It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that bills payment be approved as contained in Schedule A, A900, pp. 1-34, totalling $195,909.42, dated August 17, 1987. Motion carried.
