Members present: Chairperson Dowie, Miller and Seeber
Also present: Councilperson Budak
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following quotes were reviewed for the purchase of pipe used
for the installation of street signs by the Sign & Traffic
Department:

A.Y. McDonald $ 1 , 159. 20
Heating and Cooling Supply $ 2 , 163 . 00
It was the recommendation of the Sign & Traffic Department to
accept the low bid of A.Y. McDonald. It was moved by Seeber,
seconded by Miller that said recommendation be approved. Motion
carried.
The Superintendent of Traffic Signals asked that the purchase of
conductor cable to be used for the interconnect on Sycamore Street
between East 4th and Park Avenue be tabled. He indicated that
Interstate Substitution funds may be available next year for the
purchase of City equipment; therefore, this expenditure should be
delayed at this time. It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Dowie
that this item be tabled until such time as Interstate
Substitution money is available for said purchase. Motion
carried.
The request of the City Engineer to take bids for repair of the
westerly approach to the Easton Avenue bridge over Dry Run Creek
was reviewed. Estimated cost of the project is $3 ,200. 00, with
funds available from the General Obligation Bond maintenance
funds. It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that
authorization be given to seek bids as requested. Motion carried.
It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller to recommend approval
to the City Council bill payments contained in Schedule A, A900 ,
pp. 1-50, totalling $635,147. 67, dated May 11, 1987. Motion
carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
