Members Present : Chairperson Dowie, Miller and Seeber. It was moved by
Seeber, seconded by Miller that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Motion
carri ed .
The request of the Police Chief for authorization to seek bids for the
purchase of firearms and ammunition and to seek bids for the purchase of
wearing apparel (uniform replacement) and accessories was reviewed . It was
moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that authorization be given to the Police
Department to proceed with said bid requests. Motion carried .
The communication from Mayor Bernie McKinley transmitting the request of the
Cedar Val ley Economic Development Corporation for city financi al participation
in the amount of $10,000 for the Cedar Lakes Project was reviewed. It was
moved by Seeber, seconded by Dowie that the Finance Committee recommend to the
full Council that said financial participation be approved. Motion carried.
The request of the Planning and Development Director for authorization to seek
bids for remodeling second floor as a result of office shifts recommended in
the FY 1988 Budget was reviewed . Due to the lack of a quorum at the Buildings
and Grounds Committee meeting earlier in the day, a recommendation was not
available . It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Dowie that authorization be
given to seek bids on second floor remodeling. Motion carried.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that the garbage refund for
803 SonyaTrive in the amount of $40.60 be approved, together with the
recommendation of approval to the City Council for bill payments contained in
A900, pp. 1 - 40, totalling $339,061.07, dated April 20, 1987. Motion
carried .
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned .
