Members present: Miller and Seeber
Members absent : Chairperson Dowie
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber, that the Agenda, as amended , be
approved.
Motion carried.
The request of the Police Department for authorization to dispose of a video
poker amusement machine in the amount of $100.00 was reviewed. Chief Shook
reported that the Finance Committee had given prior authorization for the
sale of this property. The City has now received a request to purchase said
property from J & S Games. It was his recommendation that this offer be
approved.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that authorization to dispose of
the video amusement machine in the amount of $100.00 to J & S Games be
approved.
Motion carried.
Herman Wenzel , Division Chief in the Waterloo Fire Department, reported that
the boiler at Fire Station #4 (1200 Ansborough Avenue) had a water leak
making it necessary to shut off the heating system immediately. Due to the
emergency nature of this repair, the repair was made at a cost of
approximately $1,000.00. The deductible on the City' s insurance for such
damage is $1,000.00. Said repair was made on Monday, February 16, 1987.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that the expenditure of $1 ,000.00
for said emergency repair be approved.
Motion carried .
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber, that the garbage refund for 1127
West 7th Street in the amount of $17.40 be approved together with the
recommendation of approval to the City Council for bill payments contained
in the A900, pp. 1-33, totalling $255,331.73, dated February 16, 1987, and
A900, pp. 1-57, totalling $801,659,66, dated February 23, 1987.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned .
