It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Dowie that the Agenda, as proposed be approved. Motion carried. Bids on a truck mounted snow plow for the Street Department were discussed (see Finance Committee Minutes of November 4, 1985). After reviewing the bid specifications the Street Department recommended that the law bid of Sage Equipment Cowpany in the amount of $3,225.00 be accepted. It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the recommendation of the Street Department Superintendent be approved. Motion carried. Police Chief Shook reported that the Building and Grounds Committee had reviewed the conversion to natural gas at the Police Training Center on November 4, 1985 and had recommended its approval. The natural gas line would be installed by Iowa Public Service Company at an estimated cost of $350.00. The Street Department would be required to perform a minimal amount of construction work at no anticipated cost. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the recommendation of the Building and GroundsCommittee be approved. Motion carried. Police Chief Shook reported that the Building and Grounds Committee had recommended the approval of the replacement of carpet in the Shift Commander's Office on November 4, 1985. The approximate cost of this replacement is $200 to $400. Money is available in the City Hall Building Budget of the Clerk/Auditor's Office. It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the recommendation of the Building and Grounds Committee be approved. Motion carried. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the performance evaluations for the Waterloo Police and Fire Department Retirement Funds for the month ending September 30, 1985 be received and placed on file. Motion carried. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the bills for payment be recommended to the Council for approval. Motion carried.
