Mayor's Conference Room
Members Present: Chairperson Dowie, Getty, Klinger.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the Agenda, as
proposed be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for street salt for the winter of
1985-86:

Carey Salt $37.50 120 hrs.
Independent Salt $27.50 7-8 days
Cargill Salt No bid
American Salt $37.79 Not specific
Farmer's Feed & Supply $35.57 48 hrs.
Morton Salt $30.40 48 hrs.
It was the recommendation of the Budget Analyst that the low bid of
Morton Salt be approved, subject to receipt of a performance bond.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that this recommendation
be approved, with the second low bid to be awarded if Morton is
unable to supply a performance bond. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the request of the
Human Rights Commission to lease/purchase a SF-8200 copier from A B
Dick in the amount of $220.44/month be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that garbage refunds in
the amount of $48.20 for 201 Derbyshire and $30.80 for 150 Bourland
be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that authorization be
given to move the air handling system from the Police Training Center
to the Street Department at an approximate cost of $3,000-$5,000.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the recommendation of
the Building and Grounds Committee to install new windows in the
City Hall Annex at an approximate cost of $2,580.00 be approved.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the recommendation of
the Building and Grounds Committee to approve the employment of the
firm of Flinn Saito Andersen and Robert DeVoe for solution to the
jail roof in an amount not to exceed $2,500 be approved. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the bills be
recommended to the City Council for approval. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
