Finance Committee Minutes
May 20, 1985

Mayor's Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Dowie, Getty, Klinger.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the agenda as
proposed be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for an air conditioner compressor
for Fire Station No. 8:

Lentz Heating and Cooling $1 ,174.00 plus
$196.00 5 year warranty
Star Refrigeration $1 ,443.19
Feredays $1 ,648.20
Gubbels Heating and Air Conditioning $1 ,750.00
Young Plumbing and Heating $1 ,805.80
It was the recommendation of the Fire Department to accept the low
bid of Lentz Heating and Cooling in the amount of $1 ,174.00 plus
$196.00 for 5 year warranty. It was moved by Klinger, seconded by
Getty that said recommendation be approved. Motion carried.
The request of the Health and Sanitation Department for authorization
to take bids on U.L.V. Unit used for the control of adult mosquitoes
was reviewed. It was moved Getty, seconded Klinger that
authorization to take bids be approved. Motion carried.
The Mayor stated that the City has committed $10,000 to the
renovation of Lincoln Park. At this time the Downtown Council is
requesting one-half (1/2) or $5,000 of this allocation. He
recommended approval of payment. It was moved by Klinger, seconded
by Getty that $5,000 be authorized for improvements to Lincoln Park.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
