Finance Committee Minutes
February 18, 1985
6:30 p.m.
Mayor's Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Dowie, Klinger and Getty.
The following 1985 paint bids were reviewed for the Sign and Traffic
Department and the Recreation Commission:
Bidder Bid
Redland Prism° $12,928.80
Vogel Paint and Wax $13,418.95
Municipal Supply Inc. $15,182.85
Glidden Coatings and $15,237.10
Resins Inc.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the recommendation of
the Sign and Traffic Department to accept the low bid of Redland
Prismo Corporation be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for Mosquito Control Chemicals for
the Health and Sanitation DepaL Lwent:
Bidder
Devic Enterprises, Inc. Malathion: $3,078.00
Dursban 1%: $ 840.00
Cornbelt Chemical Co. Malathion: $3,017.85
Dursban 1%: $ 745.00
A-Bate 1%: $ 745.00
City-County Equipment & Malathion: $2,956.50
Chemical Corp. Dursban 1%: $ 489.80
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the recommendation of
the Health and Sanitation Department to accept the bid from
City-County Equipment and Chemical Corporation be approved. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Dowie that the requisitions be
recommended for purchase. Motion carried.
With no further business before the committee, the meeting was
adjourned.
