Members Present: Chairperson Dowie, Miller and Seeber.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that the Agenda, as amended, be
approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for marked police vehicles:
BIDDER MAKE/MODEL BID AMOUNT
Rydell Chevrolet - BMW, Inc. 1987 Chev. Caprice $11,749.00
Crossroads Ford, Ltd. 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria $11,670.00
It was the recommendation of the Police Department to accept the low bid from
Crossroads Ford for the following vehicles:
Six marked vehicles - 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victorias - $70,020.00
It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that the recommendation of the
Police Chief be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that authorization be given to the
Fire Department to purchase the following hazardous materials program: 1 -
MidAmerica Crane Model Sidekick - Capacity 2,000# w/double line at 36" and
Capacity 1,200# @ 60" at a cost of S995.00. Motion carried.
It was moved by Seeber, .seconded by Miller that the Superintendent of Motor
Vehicle Parking be given authorization to take bids on uniforms for employees
within said Department. Motion carried.
It was moved by Seeber, seconded by Miller that the recommendation of the
Building and Grounds Committee to seek bids to replace the septic system at
the Police Training Center be received, placed on file and authorization
granted. Motion carried.
It was moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber to recommend approval to the City
Council for bill payments contained in Schedule A, A900, pp. 1-54, totalling
$916,102.98, dated December 8, 1986. Motion carried .
With no further business before the Committee. the meeting was adiourned.
