RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT
2006-16-163 FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING FOR
F.Y. 2011 U.S. 63 IMPROVEMENTS (FROM U.S. 218
NORTH TO DONALD STREET), CONTRACT NO. 790,
WITH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY
MAYOR.
WHEREAS, subsequent to execution of Agreement 2006-16-163,
additional funding was received for the project, and
WHEREAS, Agreement 2006-16-163 is hereby amended to include
the funding source referenced below, and
WHEREAS, Federal funding through the Transportation and
Community System Preservation Program (TCSP) reestablished by
Section 1117 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient
Transportation Efficiency Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU),
Public Law 109-59, which are hereinafter referred to as TCSP
Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Addendum to Agreement 2006-16-163 in an
amount not to exceed $343,000.00 TASC Funding, (original
Agreement 2006-16-163 dated April 3, 2006, in an amount not to
exceed $1,617,500.00), in conjunction with U.S. Highway 63
Improvements (U.S. Hwy 218 North to Donald Street), now known as
NHSX-63-6(69)-07(PE), by and between the Iowa Department of
Transportation, now known as Agreement No. 2006-16-163A, and the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute the same in behalf
of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of August, 2010.
