Dear Finance Committee Members:
On February 13, 1987, the Waterloo Fire Department had a breakdown of the
heating system at Station #4, which is located at 1200 Ansborough Avenue. The
boiler had a water leak that made it necessary to shut off the heating system
immediately.
Moore Engineering Company estimated the repair work to be approximately
$1 ,000.00. The weather over the weekend was fairly warm, so to save the cost
of double time labor, the boiler was repaired on Monday, February 16.
I have checked with Nelson Insurance and we have $1 ,000.00 deductible on
our insurance.
