Mayor's Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Dowie, Klinger and Getty.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the agenda be amended
to include under New Business the item of approving $3,750 to Dog
Racing Task Force for an additional feasibility study. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that authorization be
given to the Sign and Traffic Department to purchase 50 pieces of
steel pipe from A.Y. McDonald Company in the amount of $1 ,344.00.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the Fire Department
be authorized to purchase a motorola medical radio for 1985 Modular
Ambulance in the amount of $2,343.00 and a Motorola High Band
"Portable" in the amount of $871 .00 from the State of Iowa,
Department of General Services. Motion carried.
Following discussion it was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that
action be delayed until August 20, 1984 on the request of the
Waterloo Dog Racing Task Force for additional funding in the amount
of $3,750 with this item appearing both on the Finance Committee and
City Council agendas. Motion carried.
It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the following
requisitions be approved together with bills contained in Resolution
No. 1984-374 approved by the City Council on August 13, 1984:
Electrical 16466 Clayton E. Marquart, Inc. $ 750.00
Sign & Traffic 16528 A.Y. McDonald Supply $1 ,344.00
Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting WAS
adjourned.
