HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/29/1984 FINANCE WMMI'rrEE May 29, 1984 6:30 p.m. Large Conference Room The following bids for two (2) hoists for the garage annex were reviewed: Bidder Bid Dorfmans $3,295.00 each Standard Battery $3,400.00 each Lewis Motor $3,730.50 each It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger to approve the low bid of Dorfmans, as recommended by the Superintendent of the Central Garage. Motion carried. The following bids for malathion were reviewed: Bidder Bid Bode Sprayer Service $1 ,992.60 Devick Enterprises, Inc. $2,079.00 Clarke Outdoor Spraying Co. , Inc. $2,133.00 The Health & Sanitation Department recommended that the low bid of Bode Sprayer Service be approved. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger to approve said recommendation. Motion carried. The following bids were reviewed for electrical equipment for the Fire Department: Bidder Bid Van Meter Company $2,250-.00 Crescent Electric Supply Company $2,120.00 It was reported that a bid had been received by the Clerk/Auditor's Office from Kies Electric after the noon deadline on May 29, 1984. The bid will be returned unopened. It was moved by Klinger, seconded by Getty that the low bid of Crescent Electric be approved. Motion carried. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that a garbage refund be made to Caldwell Banker Granger Realtors for the commercial property at 3823 West Fourth Street in the amount of $40.50. Motion carried. It was moved by Getty, seconded by Klinger that the following requisitions be approved, together with the bills contained in Resolution No. 1984-210, approved by the City Council on May 29, 1984: Electrical Dept. 15030 Clayton E. Marquart, Inc. $550.00 Health/Sanitation 15363 Bode Sprayer Service $1 ,992.60 Motion carried. Mayor Bowers reported that he would be bringing a change order to the Council to cover the cost of drainage improvements in the Maywood Area. Councilman Dowie requested that the Finance Committee meet at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 , 1984 to discuss additional funding for the Greyhound Race Track. The Clerk/Auditor was instructed to prepare the necessary notification and agenda. With no further business before the Committee, the meeting adjourned. Larry P. Burger City Clerk/Auditor
